It is not hard to conclude that this is a hardware wallet Block has been working on for a while. The company says it will provide users with a mobile app, allowing them to safely own and manage their digital currency, as well as a hardware wallet that adds additional layers of security.

The gadgets shown in Dorogusker's photo are not finished products. These devices are some of the prototypes we are experimenting with for the hardware component of the wallet, which will include a mobile app and a set of self-serve recovery tools. There is no word on when these devices will hit the market or how far from their final form they will be.

Some of the most popular hardware wallets for cryptocurrencies are from Trezor and Ledger. Block's prototypes seem to be far simpler and focused on only one currency, while these wallets typically support many cryptocurrencies and come with a display.
