The events leading up to the case have been widely reported, tracing the 15-year-old's journey from teen TikTok star to alleged stalking victim. Majury said she has no plans to stop using social media.

Majury has had legal battles over the past few years.

The TikToker started making videos in 2020 when she was 13 years old

According to The New York Times, Majury moved to Naples, Florida, with her family in 2019.

Majury told The Times that she made around $1,000 for a single paid promotional video on her main account. Majury posts under two other accounts according to her managers. A representative from Majury's law firm confirmed to Insider that the three profiles were owned by her.

Majury gained 130,000 followers in a month on the photo sharing site. Majury has more than 300,000 followers. A representative from Majury's legal team confirmed to Insider that this account also belonged to her.

In July 2021, Majury's father shot and killed a man who came to their home

Lanny J Davis, legal advisor to the Majury family, told Insider that in early 2021, the TikToker noticed that an individual with the name EricJustin111 was messaging her on social media. She replied to him occasionally, as she did with other fans.

The individual started harassing her online after a few months, so she sent him 2 to 3 photos of her on social media for $5 each. She said he asked for explicit images, so she blocked him.

The Majury family told The Times that on July 10, 2021, the fan flew from his home in Maryland to their address in Florida. They said he had a gun.

At the time, police did not give any details. In February of 2022, The Times reported that in Naples, Justin arrived with a shotgun and blew open the front door of the Majury family home. Rob Majury, the father of the girl, fell when his weapon jammed.

According to The Times, Rob said he decided to stand guard at the front door and shot and killed Justin when he came back.

Rob Majury was not prosecuted for shooting Justin because his actions were deemed to fall under Florida's "stand your ground" legislation, which was passed in 2005. A person is justified in using or threatening to use deadly force if he or she reasonably believes that using or threatening to use such force is necessary to prevent imminent death or great bodily harm to himself or herself or another.

A 2020 US Civil Rights Commission report on the law found that similar legislation, sometimes referred to as the Castle Doctrine, has been passed in at least 22 other states. The law in Florida was criticized when George Zimmerman was acquitted of murder in the death of 17-year-old Martin.

Majury took a five-day break from uploading after the shooting, as previously reported by Insider.

Majury said she was also stalked by a different person who went to her school

In an interview with The Times, the parents of the girl who was shot and killed said they pulled Majury out of school because they were concerned about another person who was communicating with her.

Majury told her parents that someone was following her. Davis told Insider that the juvenile posted a video on his account that showed him firing a gun at a shooting range, which Majury could view. Majury decided to leave school after seeing the video.

According to Fox News, the Majury family filed a petition for an injunction against stalking and a hearing was set for February 28, 2022.

Majury's case against the second individual was dismissed in court on March 28, 2022

The 15-year-old testified against the individual she accused of stalking her, saying that he was always behind her or near her during the fall semester.

According to Fox News, Majury testified that she believed the individual was talking to Justin prior to his death. She asked the other person to give her information about Justin. She said that he sent her a picture of his conversations with Justin, one of which had a grape symbol in it.

According to Fox News, the individual's attorney argued that there was no case for stalking because he was communicating with Majury at her request. The judge dismissed the case at the end of the hearing.

Davis told Insider that the Majury family did not intend on taking any further legal action.

Majury wants to continue posting on social media

The main TikTok account, which had 1.2 million followers, was temporarily suspended for two weeks, but the reasons were not clear. On April 4, the account was restored, but TikTok did not reply to Insider's request for comment.

Davis told Insider that Majury does not want the experience with Justin to ruin her, and will continue to post on her platform with permission from her parents, who he said support their daughter in her conviction to be a role model for clean and positive.

In a statement to Insider, Majury said she was telling her story so that young people and parents are aware of the dangers of social media.

I could never have imagined that my innocent posts would lead to a stranger showing up at my door with a shotgun. I urge young people and parents to immediately report any threat or signal of violence, and not wait until it is too late.
