She did not say anything more in her message.

The office of the Congresswoman takes all threats of violence towards her very seriously.

Last night, Jimmy Kimmel called for violence to be committed against a woman. It will not be accepted.

On Tuesday, he cracked a joke on his show. The host made fun of the three GOP senators who were called "pro-pedophile" when they said they would vote for Judge Jackson.

"WOW, where is Will Smith when you really need him, huh?" he asked, in a likely reference to when the Hollywood star slapped comedian Chris Rock onstage at this year's Oscars.

Soon after, he also called Gaetz and Greene.

In the wake of the January 6 Capitol riots, the Capitol Police sought to bolster its response to violent threats against lawmakers. In September, Chief J. Thomas Manger told the Associated Press that the force had seen a high number of threats against members of Congress.

It is not clear if the force considered the comment to be a violent threat. The Capitol Police did not reply immediately.
