According to a ticket website for the gathering, Rep. Paul Gosar is being promoted as a guest at an upcoming white nationalist event.

The Arizona Republican is being heralded as a featured guest at the upcoming American Populist Social, hosted by the ultra-conservative political group American Populist Union.

According to The Arizona Mirror, the nonprofit has ties to a group of white nationalists. According to the Anti-Defamation League, there is a loose network of alt-right figures who are supporters of white supremacists.

The ADL has called the young man a well-known white supremacist, and he is known for promoting racist and antisemitic views.

According to its website, the American Populist Union promotes Christian and family values, an America first mentality, and protection.

Gosar's office did not respond to Insider's request for comment.

The Arizona Mirror reported that Gosar would be at the event, just days after he finally addressed his participation in a right-wing event held in Florida in February called the America First Political Action Conference.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy denounced Gosar and the other members of the group as "appalling" and "unacceptable", though the Republican leader declined to take any.

Gosar blamed his participation in the event on a staff error. The lawmaker said his staffer misconstrued directions from his chief of staff and that the tape was intended to go to another conservative gathering. Gosar said he was done with the organizers.

In a livestream, he claimed that he and Gosar would continue to collaborate behind the scenes.

The American Populist Union has close ties to the Fuentes family, according to The Mirror.

The April 20 event will feature far-right YouTuber John Doyle, who has advocated racist, misogynist, and antisemitic views.

The American Populist Union was contacted by Insider and asked if the group chose the date to correspond with Hitler's birthday.
