It isn't every day that you wake up and find out that your favorite franchise is going to change. On the first day of Star Wars Celebration, a panel will open the festival, which will feature current crop of live-action filmmakers.
We were expecting news about the upcoming Disney+ shows like Obi-Wan Kenobi, Andor, and The Mandalorian. The shows are either coming out the next day or already done filming. The many Star Wars adventures coming soon include the one called "D", which means they are only part of the project. As much as they fit the bill, you rarely call people making TV shows or filmmakers. Is the next Star Wars film going to be by Patty Jenkins? Could we find a story or cast? Chances are we will find out what is coming next if it is not, and that could be Taika Waititi's movie, Kevin Feige's movie, or something else entirely.
The Anaheim Convention Center is where Star Wars Celebration will take place. If you want to be in the room when this news is revealed, tickets are still on sale. I will be reporting on all the news at the convention as soon as possible, so keep it locked here on io9.
What will be announced at the panel on May 26? What do you want to see? Let us know what you think.
