One of the Army's top logistics officers was demoted and fired after an inspector general investigation found him to have conducted counter productive leadership behaviors.

The deputy chief of staff for logistics was investigated over allegations of racist behavior by a three-star general.

GOMORs are seen as automatic career killers for officers and are rarely handed out to top leadership. It is not known if Gamble will be able to retire at his previous three-star rank.
