The two sides were very far off according to Chris.

All five of his MLB seasons have been with the Red Sox. He hit.279 with 38 home runs and 113 runs scored in the American League last year.

After the 2023 season, Devers is eligible to become a free agent.

The Devers-Sox talks have been added to by Cotillo. He will be a free agent at the end of 2023. This is the first time the sides have talked about a deal and they are far off. It would take last-minute Hail Mary to get a deal done.

The Red Sox would love to keep Devers around for a long time. He played a key role in the Red Sox run to the American League Championship Series last year and has the potential to be an All-Star.

Jose Ramirez, a third baseman for the Cleveland Guardians, recently got a five-year contract extension. He is guaranteed $150 million when the team option is included, according to Jeff Passan.

One has to think that he will get a contract that exceeds those numbers either with the Red Sox or as a free agent in 2023.

The weighted on-base average for third basemen was.373, which was second to the Atlanta Braves. He was second in terms of WAR behind Ramirez.

The Red Sox are focused on the next season. They will play the New York Yankees on Friday afternoon.
