Jen Psaki refused to explain why President Biden wrote a college recommendation letter for the son of a Chinese business associate.

The president has denied speaking with Hunter.

According to Fox News, emails from Hunter Biden's laptop show that the president gave a letter of recommendation to the son of the BHR investment firm CEO. Hunter's attorney told the New York Times in November that the president's son no longer holds any interest in BHR.

Hunter Biden's former business partner Tony Bobulinski was one of the recipients.

During the White House press briefing on Wednesday, Peter Doocy asked if it was common for President Biden to do favors for his international business partners.

I have seen the report. I don't know if the president wrote a college recommendation letter for an individual when he was a private citizen.

Do we know what the president got in return for doing that?

On January 3, 2017, Li sent a message to Hunter Biden and his associates.

Please find the attached resume of my son, Chris Li. Li wrote in the email that he was applying to Cornell, Brown, and New York University.

Bulger wrote "Lets [sic] see how we can be helpful here to Chris, copying in Hunter Biden and Archer."

The president of the firm that Hunter Biden co-founded in 2009 sent an email to Li on February 18. They were copied in on the email.

Hunter asked me to send him a copy of the letter his father wrote for Christopher. The original will be sent to Dr. Paxson at Brown University by Tuesday. Let us know if you have any questions. Excellent, Eric.

Li replied on February 19 You just have to see the email. It is great! Thank you so much! Thank you very much, Hunter. All the best to you all.

The New York Post reported that the president sent a letter of recommendation to Li for his daughter's application to Georgetown University. The Post claimed that Li's son and daughter weren't accepted to Brown or Georgetown.

According to the New York Times in March, Hunter is the subject of a federal tax investigation as well as potential violations of foreign lobbying disclosures.
