Every Disney park has a variety of magical activities, from exclusive clubs and secret menus to decadent handmade sweets and glow-in-the-dark drinks. You can immerse yourself in the world of "Avatar" at Disney World. You can get a limited-time handmade candy cane at Disneyland. The Lamplight Lounge is located in California Adventure. You can eat Disney-themed dim sum in Hong Kong or see the Illuminations spectacular at Disneyland Paris at the Disney parks around the world. My family of 7 loves going to Disneyland, and we have figured out how to do it on a budget. We stay at nearby hotels and eat in the parks instead of flying. Because of this, it makes more sense for us to save money on single-park passes instead of Park Hoppers that allow you to access both Disneyland parks in one day. It is not uncommon for temperatures to reach the upper 80s or low 90s at Disneyland. You can quickly get dehydrated if you spend the whole day in the sun. Water bottles can be purchased throughout the park, but it costs over $30 for a party of seven. We can fill up our own bottles at the parks if we bring our own bottles. If you fill them with ice ahead of time, the water will stay cool during the hottest parts of the day. We have to stop at one of the churro carts. The cinnamon and sugar covered fried dough is small enough to share. My children would split a churro and say they were full. The cart is near the haunted mansion. Though there is a lot of foot traffic, it has a short line and many shady places to sit. The dining experience at Alien Pizza Planet is unique. We ordered a second pie after we realized that one pie wasn't going to work out. The final cost was worth it. Alien Pizza Planet is located in the center of Tomorrowland, so it is busy all day long. The line usually moves quickly and there are lots of tables inside. Hungry Bear Restaurant is the most popular restaurant in Disneyland. There are two decks of shaded seating that overlook the Rivers of America, and the cost is not much more than what we would pay at a Red Robin. There is a large selection of allergy-friendly options at Hungry Bear. My entire family loves the inexpensive treat from the Tiki Juice Bar in Adventureland, which is usually around $5 or $6. The most popular location within the park is the Tiki Juice Bar. Since food and drinks are allowed in the nearby Enchanted Tiki Room attraction, you don't have to worry about getting a brain freeze from quickly eating the frozen treat on your way to the next activity. California Adventure Park is home to some of our favorite dining locations. Pacific wharf cafe is inexpensive. We love the soup in a sourdough bread bowl, which comes with a huge portion of chili and plenty of bread for a little over $10. The staff keeps the line moving. We have always found open seating along the Pacific wharf and courtyard at any time of the day. Cars Land in California Adventure makes you feel like you are in a Pixar movie. There is a replica of the Cozy Cone Motel. Instead of being a place to stay, the area has five different locations for budget-conscious snacks. The bread cones at Cozy Cone 3 are very good. The original one has beef chili, cheese, and chips. A version with mac n' cheese and roasted bacon was recently introduced. The cones are more like meals than snacks. Disneyland and California Adventure require a lot of walking. You could travel several miles by the end of the day. I pack my own snacks to avoid spending hundreds of dollars on churros and turkey legs. Trail mix, dried fruit, and bars are all great. I like to include items with a good source of nutrition. We always stop at the shops before we leave the parks to get souvenirs. We want to find bargains among more expensive items. Many stores have discount displays of clothing or other items they are trying to get rid of to make room for newer products. Sometimes they are as much as 50% off.
