Greg and Elyssa started a Disney travel agency.

Since opening their company, Antonelle told Insider he has booked tens of thousands of trips for everyone from high-budget clients to budget travelers.

He said his team of 250 travel agents planned 10,000 Disney trips last year.

Disney has changed a lot since the beginning of the Pandemic.

The way people explore Disney has changed since mask mandates were removed. Travelers make a lot of mistakes with those changes.

Here are the six most common mistakes Disney visitors make.

Not budgeting enough time for travel is a major mistake before you get to Disney.

Traveling to Disney is the first step to kicking off a Disney vacation, but as airports around the country experience everything from pilot shortages to flight cancellation and delays, it is important to leave room for error.

Many lines at airports, ports, customs, and other foreign destinations require you to wait longer than usual.

Budget in extra time for traveling, prepare any documents you might need, and be prepared with a backup plan if something goes wrong.

A traveler doesn't want their Disney trip to be shortened or canceled because of a missed flight or long security line.

Some travelers are not prepared for Disney's technology changes.

Disney has a new reliance on technology and phones.

Disney has gone through a big technology phase. Dining on the go. You don't need a key to get into your room, you can use your phone.

Before the Pandemic, mobile dining was not necessary for guests. If you haven't downloaded the My Disney Experience app, you can't enter the park.

Disney launched new platforms during the Pandemic. Travel Weekly states that MagicMobile is part of the My Disney Experience app. This replaces a guest's Disney MagicBand and allows them to enter parks, access PhotoPass photos, and enter virtual queue.

Travelers should be patient with new technology since they might face a learning curve when using it.

He said that some travelers don't realize that they need a reservation and ticket to get into the park.

The new Park Pass reservation system requires visitors to reserve a spot at a park, according to Inside the Magic. Guests used to be able to buy a ticket and visit whichever park they wanted.

Some visitors are being turned away from the parks if they don't have a reservation.

We see it every day, people trying to get in the park and they don't have a Park Pass reservation.

If you start looking into a Disney vacation, you should check the Park Pass reservation system to make sure there are still openings.

Since the park is known to reach capacity during popular times like spring break and summer, you should reserve your Park Passes as soon as possible.

Travelers might not know that you should reserve most dining time.

Some visitors don't realize that Disney's new and popular restaurants, like Oga's Cantina in Galaxy's Edge at Hollywood Studios and Space 220 Restaurant at Epcot, require reservations weeks in advance.

If you want to get a table at Disney, a reservation is necessary.

Unless someone cancels, they won't take walk-ups.

Reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance on the Disney website. Travelers should book their reservations as soon as possible.

Disney's website states that the park's lounges and quick-service restaurants do not have reservations, but that many of the quick-service restaurants have a new reliance on the Disney app.

Visitors don't do enough research before their trip is a common mistake.

If you want to have a Disney experience, make sure you check before you go to make sure it's still happening and that you need reservations.

He ran into a family waiting for the fireworks show at Magic Kingdom. Disneyland and Disney World had nightly fireworks shows.

According to Fortune Magazine, the show was put on pause due to the Pandemic. The family was disappointed that they didn't know about the changes and that they had scheduled their day around the show.

Disney experiences like character meet-and-greets, parades, and performances have changed in the last two years, so do your research before you go.

The biggest mistake people make is not using a travel agent.

I don't recommend anyone to go on a Disney trip without a travel agent who knows everything. You are going to be disappointed if you don't.

A travel agent can help you prepare for the new changes at Disney parks. They can help you find sought-after dinner reservations, get deals on Disney hotels, and help you book a tour of the parks.

He said that if something goes wrong, you will have an advocate andplanner there to help.
