The servers will stay up, but Ubisoft is no longer creating new content.

New content for Ghost Recon Breakpoint is no longer being created by the company. The end of content creation means that there won't be any new NFTs for the game, according to the announcement.

The last four months saw the release of the brand new Operation Motherland mode, tons of new items, and the 20th anniversary of Ghost Recon Breakpoint.

You own a piece of the game and have left your mark on it.

The attitude in our teams is encouraged by the fact that we continuously learn by trying new things. The opportunity to learn about what decentralization can bring to gaming is reflected in the representation of Ubisoft Quartz. We will look to improve the value proposition of the platform with new projects and features after the last Ghost Recon Breakpoint Digit was released.

You can still browse resale marketplaces on Objkt and Rarible, though there are no new NFTs available. It's not clear if the Ghost Recon Breakpoint NFTs will be transferrable to future games, though as far as I know, it hasn't been promised.

If they don't transfer, people who paid a good amount of money for one of the digital collectibles are stuck with just one game that is no longer getting new content from the developer. It might sting for those who picked up an NFT at a high price, as I saw that one was purchased on Rarible for 100 Tezos.

Ubisoft is still hiring for blockchain-related jobs

The shut down of the Formula 1 NFT racing game F1 Delta Time, one of which was valued at about $265,000 at an auction last year, has left people in a worse position. The developer of that game has laid out a few options for current NFT holders, one of which is the ability to swap the NFTs for proxy assets.

According to a Kotaku report about a new Ghost Recon, the team has gone mostly quiet internally, though a spokesman for the company told the publication that they will have more to share.
