Flight cancellations continue due to staff shortages

Four of the 78 flights that British Airways had planned for today were canceled due to high levels of staff absence.

The airline gave notice that it was axing many flights after it decided to reduce its schedule.

EasyJet has canceled about 30 flights at the airport.

It has led to long delays at security and check-in at some airports.

EasyJet said that its staff absences were double their normal levels.

Amsterdam, Krakow, Bologna and Berlin were the main routes that were affected by the cancellation.
