The Perseverance Rover landed in Jezero Crater on Mars. It has been there longer than a year. The Ingenuity helicopter has completed 23 flights in the thin atmosphere of Mars.

An image of the rover and helicopter on Mars has been captured by the HiRISE camera on the MRO.

One of the funnest jobs is operating the HiRISE on NASA's MRO. You get to watch giant dust storms and study Mars in detail. You can check in on the landers and the people working on the surface.

There is a helicopter resting on the ground near the Perseverance Rover in the Jezero Crater. Perseverance is on the floor of the ancient paleolake, and Ingenuity is on the west side.

The images put Perseverance and Ingenuity into the context of their mission. The image on the right shows the ancient delta. The minerals present at Jezero Crater correspond to the colors in that image.

Perseverance was featured in a recent HipOD. If the mission were extended, the people at HiRISE suggested that Perseverance could leave Jezero Crater. There is a mineral-rich area with interesting landforms west of Jezero Crater that could be a potential landing location for the Mars Sample Return mission.

Perseverance and Ingenuity are working their way through Jezero. Perseverance has collected some of its samples, and the SuperCAM instruments have been busy testing the rocks. Mission operators say that the sound on Mars is eerily quiet.

This isn't the first time that HiRISE has looked at Perseverance. In October of 2021, HiRISE captured an image of Perseverance.

We're sure this won't be the last time Perseverance is featured. It's a great way to keep up with Perseverance and Ingenuity's fans.
