L. Gustavo Cooper's horror short is six minutes long, but it has an atmosphere from the first frame, the stakes are high, and Essoe is sympathetic. The Home speaks to the power of sound and darkness. Check it out!

The Home was filmed in Pasadena, CA, a testament to the film's use of gloomy, mood-setting special effects. It almost feels like a beginning to a larger story about the origin of the trowies, and whether or not the nuns who appear to go unharmed, though that seemingly kindly priest was toast, were actually nuns. It feels like turning the tables on thecreatures is the logical next story beat, but what will happen next? Let us know what you think in the comments.
