It has only been a couple of weeks since the new features, improvements, and fixes for the devices were released, and now the company has started the roll out of an April update.

The wireless charging updates and camera fixes for the Pixel 6 lineup should improve performance with certain accessories and crush bugs that could zoom in the front-facing camera preview with certain apps or pop up a green screen in the camera preview.

OTA and factory images are available now

Problems with live wallpapers, crashes during the use of picture-in-picture, and a problem that could black out the notification shade are addressed by tweaking all phones that receive the update. Several security flaws addressed by this latest update and for other devices with a security patch level of April 5th or later are detailed in an accompanying security bulletin.

Google’s Android 12 update has been the rockiest in years

There is no note of a fix or change for owners of the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro who don't like the weakened vibration effect that came with the March update. As reports on the owner forum on the internet pile up, I have not received a response from the search engine. Review Geek reported that on March 25th, they received a statement from the company that said that the update was meant to take advantage of the more advanced capabilities of the Pixel 6. We are continuously trying to provide a better long term solution in the future and will plan to address that feedback in an upcoming update.

If you don't have the update on your device yet, that's because it will be rolled out in phases over the next week. Users will receive a notification once theOTA becomes available for their device. The experience of the Android 12 update has been rocky so far, and whether or not you want to do that may depend on your appetite for risk.
