The Eagles had three first-round picks for the NFL draft, but now only have 15 and 18. The Saints have two picks in the first round.
Philadelphia will get a first-, second-, and third-round pick this year, as well as a first-, second-, and third-round pick in 2020.
The 16th overall pick came from the Indianapolis Colts.
The Eagles had a major pre-draft swap last year. They got a first-round pick from the Miami Dolphins last year. They traded back up to 10 to get DeVonta Smith.
Philadelphia has two first-round picks in this year's draft and two more in 2023.
New Orleans is expected to add another impact player in the first round of the draft. The Saints missed out on the playoffs for the first time in five years, and head coach Sean Payton retired after the season.
The organization can try to get back on track with two top-20 picks.
This deal helps the Saints keep their options open, as they now have additional premium draft capital to dangle for a potential quarterback of the future.
