According to Stuart police, a Fort Lauderdale personal injury attorney has been hit with an emergency suspension from the Florida Bar after she drove her car into four people on a sidewalk outside a store.

They say that when she was stopped, she told them she wanted to hit people. She wasn't trying to drum up business, but she was told to kill the people.

Bijoux, who has been held without bond in Martin County Jail since February, pleaded not guilty to some of the charges. The state Supreme Court granted the Bar's request of emergency suspension for Bijoux, who was admitted to the Bar in 2016

The man behind the wheel of the driving school's car was twice the alcohol limit.

Crashing into them wasn’t an accident, she said

The website for her law firm says she lives in Stuart, but the arrest report says she lives in Fort Lauderdale.

Stuart police responded at 12:52 p.m. One person who had been hit was flown to a hospital and three other people were still there, according to the report. The two people who were sitting at the table said the car jumped the curb and pushed them into the wall.

The woman who was flown to the hospital said she didn't see the car that hit her, but knew it was a black car.

The driver tried to hit another person, but he was able to.

A witness followed a car with a Texas license plate. She parked her car at the Stuart Police Department and didn't stop for police on the street.

When Bijoux exited the vehicle, she immediately told Reddick that the voices in her head told her to kill the people.

According to the report, after her arrest, Bijoux said she wanted to kill other people, hit people, and kill herself. She said she was under a doctor's care, but hadn't spoken to him in months. She had never wanted to hurt other people, but could not explain why today was different.

She asked what the charges were. She said that she couldn't believe that she was only being charged with battery because she wanted to kill people.
