President Joe Biden called for a war crimes trial against Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday, following revelations of civilian massacres in a suburb of the Ukrainian capital.

Biden told reporters that he got criticized for calling Putin a war criminal, and that he saw what happened in Bucha. He is a war criminal. We have to gather the information.

He called for the continued supply of lethal military aid.

He said that they have to continue to give the weapons to the Ukrainians.

The guy is brutal, and what is happening in Bucha is outrageous, and everyone has seen it. Biden stopped short when asked if he believed it was a genocide.

I think it is a war crime, he said. He said he was seeking more sanctions against Russia.

Biden said that he should be held accountable.

This is the first time that Biden has suggested that the Russian leader should face a trial.

Biden said last week that he made no apologies for declaring that Putin cannot remain in power.
