Police Scotland are investigating after a glass bottle was thrown from the stands into the Celtic penalty box.

The second half was delayed after shards of glass were removed from the pitch.

The full circumstances are being established by the police.

The SPFL are aware of the incident but will wait for the match delegate's report before making a comment.

  • Celtic hit back to go six clear
  • Reaction & as it happened

Celtic came from behind to win the game and move six points clear of the competition.

The first seven minutes of the game were frantic, with both Tom and Ramsey scoring, before Carter-Vickers got the winner just before the break.

When Celtic came out, Joe Hart came and said to me, "I found out when we came out."

It shouldn't happen. There was a good atmosphere at the game. You don't need things like that to detract from what I thought was a great spectacle.

'It's hard to get your head around' - analysis

Tom English is a sports writer.

It is repulsive. It is brainless. It is difficult to get your head around. The Rangers attackers are going to be in that penalty box as well, because it is not just Joe Hart and the Celtic defenders who are put at risk there.

I hope they have footage of it because they have a lot of security cameras around Ibrox and if they can find who did that and get rid of them for good, that is really despicable stuff.
