There is more proof that a financial relationship exists between President Biden's son Hunter, the president's brother James and a Chinese company.

The Wall Street Journal reported this week that the Justice Department's probe into Hunter Biden is gaining steam. He admitted last December that federal investigators were looking at his taxes. The New York Times reported in March that the Justice Department was looking at whether he had violated money-laundering and foreign lobbying laws.

The Washington Post said that the allegations of Russian misinformation on a laptop left by Hunter Biden at a computer repair shop were false.

There is no clear-cut evidence of wrongdoing by President Biden. Republicans resurrected questions about whether Hunter Biden's dealings with the Chinese company that paid him and his uncle $5 million may have exposed the president to potential conflicts of interest with regard to the Chinese government.

We may never know all the details of the Biden family foreign entanglements, or the full extent to which they compromise our current president, according to Sen. Ron Johnson.

Hunter Biden's actions over the past decade have provided plenty of reason for such speculation.

His connections to a Chinese businessman named Ye Jianming have been reported in the past.

Hunter Biden received millions of dollars from foreign sources as a result of business relationships he built during the period when his father was vice president of the United States.

Ye and the Chinese Communist Party were alleged to have ties to the Chinese military. The New York Times reported that the Chinese company CEFC received Beijing's approval to chase splashy deals at a time when the government has mostly restricted overseas acquisitions.

The documents released this week show that millions of dollars of payments were made to Hunter and James Biden. According to the Washington Post, Hunter Biden signed an agreement to represent Patrick Ho for $1 million.

Ho was arrested by federal agents in New York. He was found guilty of paying bribes to African government officials to approve energy contracts.

The Washington Post reported that security experts had verified the validity of some emails from Hunter Biden's laptop. The New York Post reported in the fall of 2020 that the computer had been left at a computer repair shop.

With the presidential election two weeks away, the Post article was blocked from being accessed by users on the social media platform. Republicans accused the tech giant of trying to meddle in the election after it unblocked the article.

A group of former diplomats and U.S. intelligence officials released a letter stating that the New York Post article has all the hallmarks of a Russian information operation.

At the time, the Biden campaign echoed the charges of Russian misinformation. Conservatives claim that the debunking of the Russian accusation shows liberal bias in the media and Big Tech companies.

The New York Post article in 2020 focused on Hunter Biden's dealings with a Ukrainian energy company, and implied that Joe Biden's diplomacy in Ukraine during his time as vice president was influenced by his son's financial interests.

Hunter Biden joined the board of Burisma despite not having any experience in the energy sector or Ukraine, and he was paid up to $50,000 a month by the company. He left in 2019.

Donald Trump was impeached for pressuring the Ukrainian government to dig up dirt on the Bidens. Biden was accused by Trump of using his influence as vice president to help his son's business interests. These claims fell apart.

A few days after the Post published its article in 2020, an ex-business partner of Hunter Biden accused Joe Biden of being involved in his son's dealings with CEFC. Anthony Bobulinski said he was in a meeting in Los Angeles in the summer of 2017, where an investment deal with CEFC was discussed with Joe, James, and Hunter Biden present.

Bobulinski gave the Wall Street Journal emails that he said showed another business partner, James Gilliar, discussing how each partner in the deal with CEFC would be compensated. The email said Hunter Biden, Rob Walker and Bobulinski would get 20%, with James Biden getting 10%.

The email said that the 10 held by H was for the big guy.

At an event hosted by the Trump campaign less than two weeks before the election, Bobulinski said that Hunter Biden's nickname was the "big guy."

Bobulinski provided emails about the energy project. Hunter Biden was paid $3.8 million for his services.

The Biden administration insists that President Biden has never considered being involved in business with his family or overseas.

Over the last several years, Hunter Biden has spoken about his addictions to alcohol and drugs. He spent extravagantly on his own interests, including drugs, alcohol, prostitutes, strip clubs, and gifts for women with whom he has sexual relations, while leaving his family with financial concerns.

Ye was taken into custody by the Chinese government early in the year.

Joe Biden is one of a group of American leaders who have been put in a tight spot by family business dealings. Rivals accused Presidents Richard Nixon, George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton of allowing family members to profit from their political connections.
