In a statement provided to Insider, Delta said the plane experienced a maintenance issue.
Out of an abundance of caution, the flight crew diverted the plane to Denver. Our team worked quickly to accommodate customers on a new plane, and we sincerely apologize for the delay and inconvenientness to their travel plans.
