Brea does not listen to music before games. She does not need the pump-up, preferring to stay as even-keel as possible. She has a quick sense of humor. Destanni Henderson is the one who puts things in order.

South Carolina has a women's basketball team. The consensus national player of the year will not be the only one who will lead the team if they win the second NCAA championship. The backcourt of South Carolina will be crucial in the national championship game. The program is on the cable network, ESPN.

The guards arrived in Columbia with high expectations. Henderson was the top ranked prospect in the country. In South Carolina's recruiting class, junior Cooke and sophomore Beal were the highest ranked.

South Carolina coach Dawn Staley said that they have three different personalities that fit. You don't have to say much. They know exactly what they mean when they look at each other.

Being able to balance and have fun and laugh and joke is the biggest thing of the guards relationship. Getting to know someone like heart-to-heart is a game-changer. It is like a sister relationship when you are on the court.

Even though the three don't hang out all the time off the court, that's true.

The chemistry that they have been able to develop on the court has developed nicely, according to Staley, who is trying to add a second NCAA title to a 2017 championship.

In the 1990s, when she was a point guard at Virginia, she played in a three-guard backcourt with Rhode Island's current coach and another woman who went to three Final Fours. A lot of criticism and a special relationship can be found with the point guards of the coach.

I have always looked at the game differently than a shooting guard or a post player. It doesn't matter if it is basketball or life. We are trained to see it all because I am a point guard. We are trained to see the big picture.

I have been able to know what they are good at, and just be that point guard that puts them in the position to be their best selves. Just to know who they are.

At 5-foot-7, Henderson is very quick with and without the ball.

She told us very early on in the process that she was coming and stayed committed to us throughout her freshman year.

She is the ultimate teammate. She gives us what we need at any time.

She makes everyone's lives difficult. Boston said that they love that.

That can happen when opponents are so frustrated by her coverage that they bark at her. The responses might get a little fiery.

She doesn't try to be funny. It is kind of funny if you get her out of who she is and make her give you that back.

Look for the one who is trying to be funny to be Cooke.

They are a deadly combination on the court. They work well together, and they understand where each other needs to be and what needs to happen.
