There are leaked images and a video of the new drone that suggest it will come with a larger battery and obstacle avoidance sensors.

The leaked pictures and video were posted by a person named Jasper Ellens. There are two large sensors on the front of the device to help avoid obstacles, as well as two downward-facing sensors to prevent ground crashes. If true, this is a good addition to the beginner-friendly series, as the DJI Mini 2 only has ground detection sensors.

This is the new #DJI #Mini3Pro. It has a bigger 2453 mAh battery. Improved 3-axis gimbal and camera E24 F1.7. Huge front and ground sensors and … new backwards sensors. Weight: 249g. Time to sell your Mini 2. I expect a announcement in a few weeks. pic.twitter.com/CvW9YfmkRg

The leak shows a lens with a maximum of f/1.7, which should result in a brighter image and improved low-light performance when compared to the f/2.8 lens on the DJI Mini 2. The camera is mounted to a three- axis Gimbal that can be placed off to one side to allow users to shoot vertical videos.

The leak indicates that the Mini 3 Pro may have an upgraded battery. The Mini 3 Pro has a 2,250 mAh battery and a flight time of 31 minutes, so we may see a small improvement over the Mini 2.

Users can fly the Mini 3 Pro without having to register it with the FAA, despite the upgrades. It's not clear if the Mini 3 Pro will be cheaper for something a bit more expensive, or if it will be a non-Pro.

We may not have to wait much longer to find out about the rumored drones frame rate or Ocusync 3.0 support. Ellens thinks that the drones may be announced in the next few weeks.
