In a rare trade between the teams in the same division, the New EnglandPatriots have acquired the Miami Dolphins wide receiver DeVanteParker and a fifth-round draft pick in exchange for a third-round pick.

He has played in 93 games in the National Football League, and has played in 4,700 yards and 24 touchdown. He is the sixth-leading receiver in Dolphins history.

He had a breakthrough season in 2019: he recorded 1,202 yards and 9 touchdown on 72 catches. His production was limited by his health over the next two seasons, when he missed 9 games and recorded a total of 1,308 receiving yards.

As the Dolphins new coaching staff assembled a receiver room that specialized in creating separation and yards after the catch, the odd man out was Parker.
