The first-quarter vehicle production and delivery numbers were reported by the company.

The total number of electric vehicle deliveries.

There were over 300,000 electric vehicle production.

In the same period last year, the company delivered 184,800 electric vehicles and produced 180,338 cars.

According to estimates compiled by FactSet, analysts expected 317,000 vehicles to be delivered in the first three months of the year. The estimates ranged from a low of 278,000 to a high of 357,000.

The closest approximation to sales numbers is deliveries.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new factory was held on March 22. There will be a grand opening and cyber rodeo at the new vehicle assembly plant in Austin, Texas, on April 7.

The first electric car factory in the world is still in California, despite the fact that the company moved its headquarters to Austin.

During the first quarter of the year, new health restrictions in China and a surge in Covid caused a temporary production halt at its Shanghai plant. The company delivered a record number of vehicles in the fourth quarter.

The auto industry has been hurt by parts shortages and inflation. After Russia launched an invasion of Ukraine in February, prices for raw materials like nickel and aluminum increased. Customers in the US have been left waiting for months before getting their car orders.

In March, Musk warned of inflationary pressures on the business and hiked the prices of his cars in the US and China.
