American Airlines Launching New James Bond Flight To Jamaica

Ocho Rios, Jamaica will be served by American Airlines. Ian Fleming International Airport is mostly a general aviation destination, but American will offer regional jet service twice weekly.

The Ocho Rios airport is close to both Kingston and Montego Bay. It's convenient for guests of Beaches Ocho Rios, Couples Tower Isle and Sans Souci.

American Airlines flight 4007 will operate Wednesdays and Fridays with an E-175 on Envoy Air.

Miami – Ocho Rios, 12:35 p.m. – 1:32 p.m. American Airlines 4007

Ocho Rios – Miami, 2:31 p.m. – 5:27 p.m., American Airlines 4007

There aren't many international flights with less than an hour turn.

Ian Fleming was the creator of James Bond and the first Bond film was filmed in Ocho Rios. The Sans Souci hotel was located on the exterior of the Blue Mountain cottage. The film crew stayed at this hotel. Ocho Rios was featured in both Live and Let Die.

The Moonraker bar is located at James Bond Beach, which has hosted concerts with artists such as rihanna and lauryn hill. River Falls, where Sean Connery met Ursula Andress, is not much farther away.

The American Airlines Jamaica route network includes Austin, which begins on June 4.

Kingston, Jamaica has at least as much claim on Bond as Ocho Rios airport, which is named for Ian Fleming. Dr. No is located on Harbour Street. The Liguanea Club on Knutsford Boulevard is where John Strangway was killed after a game of bridge. The home of Strangway is on Kinsale Street, which is north of Kingston.

AA4007 is one of the airline's better flight numbers, and it will become bookable with the weekend schedule load. OCJ airport is not an option on the American Airlines website.
