The left and the media are to blame for trying to tarnish the reputation of Rep. Madison Cawthorn over claims he made about drugs and orgies in Washington, DC.
The congressman from North Carolina caused a stir earlier this week when he said that he has been invited to orgies and seen people do cocaine in DC.
Cawthorn didn't say if he was talking about members of Congress or others in DC, but many took it to mean that he was referring to lawmakers.
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy said Cawthorn lost his trust and both senators from North Carolina criticized him.

Cawthorn said in a statement that his comments on the show were used by the left and the media to malign my Republican colleagues.
He said that the culture in Washington is corrupt and that he and his colleagues are fighting that corruption.
Insider asked a representative for Cawthorn if he was walking back his comments about drugs and orgies and how he felt the left and media had used his words.
Cawthorn appears to be in the good graces of former President Donald Trump despite the backlash from some members of his party. Cawthorn will be speaking at the former president&s rally in North Carolina on April 9.
