The Crow will fly for the first time in 17 years. Bill Skarsg will play Eric Draven in the remake of The Crow. Lee was killed in a tragic accident during the production of The Crow, his final screen role. The last of the three sequels was released in 2005.
The Crow is a comic book written and illustrated by James OBarr that follows Eric's story after he and his fiancée are murdered. Eric was chosen by a supernatural crow to come back from the grave to avenge those who killed him and his fiancée. Different characters have taken on the mantle of The Crow in previous sequels.
In the two-part adaptation of Stephen King's It, Skarsg is best known for his chilling performance asPennywise the Dancing Clown. He starred in the films Boy Kills World and The Devil All the Time. John Wick: Chapter 4 will be released next year.
The director has signed on to direct. He directed Snow White and the Huntsman as well as the live-action adaptation of Ghost in the Shell. Baylin will write the script. The movie will be produced by Edward R. Pressman and Malcolm Gray.
The budget for The Crow is around $50 million, which is less than many of the previous attempts. The remake will begin filming in June in the Czech Republic and Germany.
