It's time for a Newfound Adventure if you're like me and still recovering from Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker. The first major patch for Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker is Newfound Adventure. In a Live Letter developer presentation, game director Naoki Yoshida revealed details about the patch, including new mounts, new hairstyle, new battles, and a new story.

Endwalker left off where Newfound Adventure picks up. Now that the Seventh Dawn has prevented the end of life in the galaxy, your friends, the Scions of the Seventh Dawn, have scattered across Eorzea doing their own thing. Some good old-fashioned low-stakes adventuring is on the cards for the gang.

I am excited by the prospect of my Warrior of Light returning to her dungeon-delving, treasure-hunting roots, but I am always on the lookout for the faintest hint of what might come in the next expansion. In the trailer for Patch 6.1, we hear a hint at her research into how to travel between shards. Hildibrand Manderville, the resident himbo gentleman detective, who we see wash up on the purple shores of The First, will be getting a new side quest. If not the next expansion, I hope that future patches will involve traveling to the other versions of Eorzea.

Tataru is the hardest-working lalafell in Eorzea. Period.

Tataru Taru is getting her own adventure in patch 6.1. The hardest-working lalafell is Tataru. Period. She's a queen. She is in the moment. She makes sure that the people who protect it have a snack, water and a nap. It's about time she got her own story. I hope there is a future in which she could join us for a dungeon crawl or two.

The Trust system will be implemented in Patch 6.1, meaning that instead of waiting in a dungeon queue, you can party up with your friends and complete a dungeon. The Trust system is being slowly rolled out by the Final Fantasy XIV team.

There is a new raid called Myths of the Realm: Aglaia, which involves the 12 gods of Eorzea. There will be a new battle, various class changes, and a new hairstyle for the catboys.

There is so much going on in Patch 6.1 that it is the perfect opportunity to engage with the game outside of the main story quest line. Newfound Adventure will launch on April 12th.
