According to Shayna Rubin of the Mercury News, Stephen Curry will be reexamined after the regular season ends as he continues to recover from a foot injury.

The Warriors missed the playoffs for the second year in a row in 2020-21, despite owning the worst record in the NBA. The fall was quite steep for a team that had made five straight NBA Finals appearances.

Golden State is on the verge of securing a top-four seed in the Western Conference and all is right in the Bay Area.

Curry has been an important part of the team's success. Through 64 games, he has averaged 25.5 points and 6.3 assists while shooting 44.7% from the field and 38.2% from beyond the rim.

The Warriors' quest for a title was dealt a blow when the two-time Most Valuable Player injured his foot. The franchise announced on March 18 that he would be evaluated in two weeks.

The Dubs have gone just 1-6 since Curry's last game.

Curry was playing less than 100 percent when Golden State collapsed in the 2016 NBA Finals. The Warriors were defeated in the Finals by Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant.

Steve Kerr has seen his team's championship hopes fade because of an injury before.
