A source told CNBC on Friday that President Joe Biden's press secretary Jen Psaki is leaving the White House to work for MSNBC.
The White House is expected to lose its spokeswoman around May, according to a report.
Psaki will host a show on the Peacock platform. She was in talks with CNN and other networks.
CNBC requested comment from Psaki, but she did not respond immediately.
A White House official told CNBC in an email that they don't have anything to confirm about Jen's length of planned service or future plans.
News networks have been looking to recruit Beltway figures for their day-to-day political coverage, both as anchors and regular contributors.
George Stephanopoulos was the White House communications director under Bill Clinton. Nicolle Wallace was a senior spokeswoman for the George W. Bush administration.
In March of last year, Donald Trump's final press secretary joined Fox News as a commentator. Mick Mulvaney was signed as a paid contributor by CBS News.
This is happening. You can check back for updates.
