There is a person named Vulture.

Sony

Morbius is one of the worst-reviewed superhero movies of all time. You might be curious about how it relates to Sony's plans to build out the Venomverse and how it relates to Adrian Toomes.

The post-credits scenes come in. This is a really weird situation.

The trailer already showed parts of these scenes when it was revealed that Morbius would interact with Toomes. The director just came out and said that Vulture would be hopping across universes as a result of Spider-Man: No Way Home.

So I guess that's what you're going to read? Not really.

Adrian Toomes was able to enter the Morbius/Venom parallel universe through the purple time rift from No Way Home. He's in jail, but he's not a criminal, so he's let out. We don't know why this happens, as the No Way Home rifts were about sending people back to where they came from. Toomes was thrown into the Venomverse with Morbius, but it makes no sense.

The second post-credits scene is an extension of the first. This is the part we saw in the trailer, as Toomes has the idea that he wants to create a supervillain squad with Morbius and others, the implication being that Sony is building up its own version of Spider-Man. Morbius doesn't answer before the screen goes black.

Sony is making Spider-Man supervillain movies while giving the actual Spider-Man to Disney. They are making movies like Morbius and Venom so they don't lose the rights to Spider-Man, as currently the way things work, that's what they need to hold onto them. Don't try to wrap your head around how stupid that sounds. That's the law.

The idea is that they are building a supervillain squad. I don't know if they're going to have their own version of Spider-Man, or if they're going to make a brand new one. Kevin Feige is not likely to welcome Morbius and others with open arms.

Toomes' inclusion in the post-credits sequence was advertised as a main selling point of the movie in order to generate revenue. The original implication was that they stole Toomes from the MCU rather than adding Morbius to it. We will see what happens with Kraven and Madame Web next.
