The Financial Times said on Friday that two boats moored in Antigua could be seized, the latest assets to come under scrutiny as Western countries tighten sanctions against Russia's most prominent and wealthy elites.
According to a letter seen by the FT, the British High Commission told Antiguan officials that two boats docked in the country were owned by billionaire Roman Abramovich.
The paper said that the letter confirms that the vessels were owned byAbramovich.
Antigua has previously said it will enforce U.S., EU and U.K. sanctions against Russian individuals and entities.
The vessels are worth about $38 million and $20 million, according to the FT.
The U.K. and EU have sanctions against him for his close ties to Russian President Putin.
