An issue apparently triggered by the new iPadOS 15.4 update has been fixed by an update for the iPhone and iPad.

Some users have complained of rapid battery drainage after they downloaded 15.4 to their device. According to Apple, 15.4.1 should stop that from happening.

It's not clear why the 15.4 update caused rapid battery drainage for some users. Apple didn't reveal how many people contacted it about the issue, but it did say that the issue was serious enough to be addressed in a timely manner.

Thursday's update resolves the battery issue, as well as fixes a bug where Made for iPhone hearing devices may lose connection with some third-party apps.
