A Memphis man was indicted for premeditated first-degree murder after he kidnapped a man in a wheelchair, shot him to death, and dumped his body in a field.

A man and a woman were kidnapped outside of a grocery store on Horn Lake Road.

Akins was in a wheelchair. The other man and Nichols took Akins from his wheelchair at gun point and put him in a green SUV. The video shows them leaving the grocery store in the car with the wheelchair.

Two days later, a father and son were riding four-wheelers in a field in the 2000 block of West Shelby Drive when they found Akins' body.

According to the medical examiner, Akins was shot more than six times.

A month later, he was arrested for Akins's murder. The second man is still being sought by authorities.

If you have any information about that man, the district attorney's office would love to hear from you. Any information that leads to his arrest could be worth thousands of dollars.

There are three counts of premeditated first-degree murder, one count of premeditated first-degree murder in the perpetration of a kidnapping, and one count of kidnapping with a deadly weapon.
