Microsoft rebrands its Android Your Phone companion app to Phone Link

The Your Phone app will be updated with a Windows 11 design. More than three years ago, Your Phone was launched as a way to link an Android phone to Windows and avoid having to pick up your device to check calls or notifications. Phone Link has been updated to match the Windows 11 design changes.

The notifications tab is now pinned to the left-hand side panel. The navigation bar at the top of Phone Link has been moved to include the Messages, Photos, Apps, and Calls sections. The notifications section has been cleaned up to make it easier to read.

The updated Phone Link app has a new design that matches Windows 11. Link to Windows and Your Phone Companion will have the same icon, as the Your Phone Companion app is being rebranded to Link to Windows.

Microsoft is making Phone Link available in China thanks to a partnership with Honor. Honor Magic V, Magic 4 series, and Magic 3 series are supported by Phone Link. The best Phone Link features are limited to Microsoft Surface Duo devices.

With the next Windows 11 update, you will be able to enable Phone Link just by scanning a QR code during setup, as the latest Phone Link update is available today.
