Even Donald Trump doesn't use Truth Social as downloads for the app stall

Donald Trump Jr., the oldest son of the former president, just posted on Truth Social. The truth is that Trump, 45th president and founder of the alternative conservative social network, has not posted on the platform since mid-February. The platform went live to the public. Truth Social seems to be suffering.

According to Sensor Tower, downloads for the Truth Social app have dropped to an estimated 600,000 per week in the Apple App Store. The total potential new user base of the platform is accurate because it is only available on the Apple devices. Sensor Tower can only track download estimates, not sign-ups. It is not clear how many downloads are converting to new users.

According to Sensor Tower mobile insights strategist, Truth Social's downloads are down 93 percent from its launch week.

According to Sensor Tower, the Truth Social app has been downloaded over a million times.

Chan gave additional data to the website about the download statistics for Gettr, one of Truth Social's closest competitors. Gettr saw an estimated 23,000 installs, while Truth Social saw 60,000. Parler received around 5,000 installs that week.

Truth Social has a long way to go to catch up with both Parler and Gettr, and those most recent download numbers aren't matching the growth numbers that Parler or Gettr saw at this same point in either platform's lifespan. Parler has received over 11 million installs and Gettr has seen over 6 million.

On March 8, Trump had 200,000 followers. He now has more followers than Truth Social has. Truth Social has a waiting list for new users, meaning there is a delay in people being welcomed to use the app.

It was more than a month after it launched that Don Jr. appeared on the platform. Truth Social needs something to boost its user base because it is quickly falling out of favor with the public. People aren't going to flock to Truth Social for Trump's oldest son. The social media platform was set up to give the former president a voice after he was kicked off of platforms. The reason people are on the platform is because Trump is the most followed account.

For some reason, Trump will not use his own social network.
