The first Old Firm game to be played outside of Scotland will not happen in November because Rangers will not be participating in the Super Cup.

The club's agreement was terminated after concerns were raised with the organizers.

Sky Sports News understands that Rangers terminated their contract due to the failure to use the Old Firm brand and the timing of the announcements.

After it became clear the tournament organizers were unwilling to fulfill their commitments to Rangers, the club terminated their agreement with them.

The tour to Australia was going to be replaced by other international opportunities for the World Cup break.

The event, which is due to start on November 16 during the break in domestic football for the World Cup, will also feature Western Sydney Wanderers and Sydney FC.

Sky Sports News contacted the organizers of the Super Cup.
