There are so many TV shows.

Picking your latest binge can feel like plucking a needle out of a haystack, with the amount of new and returning series making it even more complicated by the number of recommendations you receive from friends and social media on any given day.

Where should we start? It is not a measurement of quality, but at least know what most people have been tuning into. To narrow down the top 10, we used Reel Good, which pulls viewing figures from streaming services in the U.S. and UK.

Here are the most popular TV shows this week. Let's go...

1. The Dropout

If you've heard about Minx recently, it may be in the same sentence as the phrase "penis montage". Kevin Costner's Western Yellowstone has four seasons already out there. The drama follows John Dutton and his family of ranchers in Montana. The first season of the show got a very mixed reception, but it is still popular.

4. Halo

You already know about it. Steven Kane and Kyle Killen adapted the popular Xbox video game series for the small screen, and it stars Natascha McElhone, Pablo Schreiber, and Yerin Ha. The story is set in the 26th century and follows a genetically engineered soldier as he goes up against aliens.

The first two hours of the show introduce the world, the key characters, and the dominant themes. We are given hooks to hang our interest on. They reveal in many ways, but they leave a lot of questions unanswered. It feels weird to say that, but it is true that Halo is good TV.

You can watch it on Paramount Plus.

5. The Thing About Pam

The Thing About Pam is based on the murder of Betsy Faria and features a woman currently serving a life sentence for murder. The show has not received glowing reviews, with some reviewers complaining about the show's treatment of victims.

The Thing About Pam is available to watch on the internet.

6. Our Flag Means Death

Taika Waititi's directorial magic is brought to the high seas in the delightfully silly pirate comedy Our Flag Means Death. The series follows a wealthy land-based lifer, known as the Gentleman Pirate, who ditches his life to team up with a buccaneer. You have a series worth walking the plank for, if you add a spectacular ensemble cast, such as SpanishJackie and her 19 husbands.

Our Flag Means Death is a comedy series that takes elements of the pirate genre and makes them funnier. It is equal parts swashbuckling adventure, sitcom and character study.

You can watch Our Flag Means Death on the internet.

7. WeCrashed

The tale of tech startup WeWork founder Adam Neumann and his wife and muse Rebekah is being told by Drew Crevello and Lee Eisenberg. There will be a lot of toxic and chaotic Wolf of Wall Street energy.

We thought that the world didn't need another WeWork story, let alone one that lasted eight hours. If you want to be entertained, then WeCrashed is the movie for you. Special effects, cinematography, and supercuts help speed up the saga in the Apple TV+ series. The score is so sprightly that it makes you believe in everything. It was almost.

8. Killing Eve

We are not sure where the time has gone, but Killing Eve is a tense spy film about British intelligence agent Eve Polastri and her cat-and-mouse game with assassin Villa. The show was at its best in its first season, but if these award-winning actresses can keep us hooked for season after season, Killing Eve may string us along for season after season.

Killing Eve is available to watch on both the UK and U.S. websites.

9. Upload

In the second season of Upload, we are transported back to a near-future world in which humans can experience any afterlife they choose by uploading their consciousness to the cloud. Digital heaven isn't as simple as it sounds in this Amazon Original, which starsRobbie Amell as a newly dead computer programmer and Andy Allo as his post-life guide.

It is similar to The Good Place in that it is a high-concept comedy about the afterlife and people will want to take care of it.

You can watch Upload on Prime Video.

10. Severance

Adam Scott plays Mark, a man who opts for an implant that allows his work memories to be completely cut off from his home life, in Apple TV+'s Severance. The impressive supporting cast includes John Turturro, Christopher Walken, andPatricia Arquette.

The first must-watch Apple TV+ show of the year is Severance, a visually fascinating work of art, an intriguing mystery, and an anti capitalist takedown of toxic labor practices.
