The Boston Celtics were defeated 106-98 by the Miami Heat on Wednesday.

The Miami Heat needed a loss by Cleveland to get into the playoffs.

The Heat are going to the playoffs despite missing six of their top seven players because of injury or illness. They are on track to compete for their second Eastern Conference title in three seasons.

For first in the East, the Heat are 49-28. Three players on the team average at least 19 points per game, and they have a well-rounded team.

Since coming over in free agency, Kyle has paced the team with 7.5 assists per game. He is a pure point guard and floor general the Heat lacked last year, and he has excelled on the defensive end as well.

A group of outside shooters surround them, making teams pay all year. Duncan Robinson has made at least 36 percent of his three-pointers.

When Adebayo needed someone to step in, Dewayne Dedmon did an excellent job, as did big man Omer Yurtseven.

This is a deep, talented roster with no weaknesses that should be a dangerous match up for anyone it faces this spring.
