On his All Things Covered show, Patrick Peterson said that he is going back to the Minnesota Vikings.

He will return on a one-year deal.

Peterson gets a $1.5m signing bonus, a $2m guaranteed base salary and $500k in per-game roster bonuses. That’s the $4m base value of the deal from the #Vikings.

He played in 13 games for the Vikings in the 2021 season, recording 45 tackles, an intercept and five passes defensed.

It was a change of scenery for the eight-time Pro Bowler and three-time first-team All-Pro selection, who spent the first 10 years of his career with the Arizona Cardinals. He has found a home in Minnesota.

Chris Tomasson said that if he stays healthy, he could be in a Vikings uniform for a few more years. He has really embraced it.

The team's star young wideout, Justin Jefferson, spoke highly of the player.

He is the best of the best. He told the team's website in December that going up against him every day helps him progress as a receiver.

The LSU product is in the plans of the new head coach, Kevin O'Connell, and the new general manager, Kwesi Adof.

Retaining him is good news for the Minnesota secondary, as he is no longer one of the game's true elite superstars at the position.
