Samsung quietly removes 'Z' branding in Ukraine, other European countries

• The Samsung website has removed the letter "Z" from its website listing for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3.
• This change appears to only have taken place for Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Ukraine Samsung websites.
• Samsung has not commented publicly on the change.

If you go to the website and try to read about the Z Fold 3 or Z Flip 3 in a few European countries, you will notice a big, subtle, change. The letter Z usually appears after the name is removed, but this time it's not the case.

The rest of the world, including Russia, still features the Galaxy Z branding, despite the change on the regional websites. We want to know if this branding change is a temporary one or if it is going to be a permanent one.

The letter Z has been used as a pro-Russia campaign and can be seen spraypainted on the side of Russian military vehicles as well as on social media. There is no official explanation of the use of the letter Z, which is not in the Cyrillic alphabet used in either Russia or Ukraine.

As the war in Ukraine rages on, it is likely that SAMSUNG is trying to distance its own brands from the campaign. Products and services from Russia have been pulled by other brands since the war began.
