The Capital One mileage program has just added a new transfer partner, as the program continues to get even more compelling. As of today, transfers are available.

Transfer Capital One miles to Virgin at a 1:1 ratio

Virgin Red is the newest transfer partner for the Capital One mileage program. Virgin Red is Capital One's loyalty program for the Virgin brand, not the Virgin Atlantic Flying Club. Capital One is the first major US credit card company to partner with Virgin Red.

Capital One has a total of 16 transfer partners at a1:1 ratio. Capital One has improved its mileage transfer game in the past year. The most significant improvement to Capital One's mileage transfer program is that a vast majority of partner transfers are at a1:1 ratio.

Capital One cards like the Capital One Venture X rewards credit card and the Capital One Spark Miles for Business earn 2x miles per dollar spent, so you could.

Is transferring Capital One miles to Virgin worth it?

The Virgin brand has a new rewards currency called Virgin Red. Virgin Atlantic Flying Club points can be used to redeem rewards for premium travel experiences, and they are the best way to use these points.

Capital One is catching up to Virgin Atlantic Flying Club, which is already a transfer partner with all other major points currencies. Virgin Atlantic Flying Club and Virgin Red have points that can be transferred between the programs.

Virgin Atlantic Flying Club points are useful for redemptions on Virgin Atlantic, but fuel surcharges are steep. Virgin has some great partner redemptions. It's my favorite of these to be able to redeem for travel on All Nippon Airways in first class and business class at a very reasonable cost.

Japan's borders are closed to foreigners, so that's limited use at the moment.

Redeem Virgin points on All Nippon Airways

Bottom line

Virgin Red is the newest transfer partner for Capital One's mileage program. It is possible to transfer points between Virgin Red and Virgin Atlantic Flying Club at a 3:1 ratio.

It's nice to see a similar option with Capital One miles, since they partner with Virgin Atlantic Flying Club.

Is it possible that you could transfer Capital One miles to Virgin Red? I'm missing any great uses of points.
