The Wall Street Journal reported that Tommy Hilfiger sold his Aspen ski house for $50 million. The agent who represented both sides in the off-market deal was Steven Shane of Compass.
Hilfiger and his wife, Dee Ocleppo Hilfiger, bought the home, which is on Aspen's Little Nell ski trail, for $32 million. Hilfiger will make a profit of $19 million from the sale.
The property is one of only two true ski-in, ski-out single- family homes on Aspen Mountain.
According to property records, the home was owned by Cynthia and George P. Mitchell before the Hilfigers. George P. Mitchell was a Texas developer and businessman.
Hilfiger did not reply immediately.
One of the most expensive ski towns in the US is Aspen, with apartment prices per square meter going for as much as $27,860. The Wall Street Journal reported that an Aspen mansion sold for $72.50 million last year, setting a price record for the town.
