The Washington Post reported Tuesday that the committee is looking into whether Trump used burner phones that day after they discovered a gap of seven hours and 37 minutes in his telephone communications. Trump used his personal cellphone to make calls.

The White House records show that Trump didn't make any calls during that time. Protesters broke through police barricades shortly before 1:00 p.m. National Guard units began securing the Capitol by 5 p.m.

During that time period, Trump made at least one call when he called Sen. Mike Lee and asked to speak to Tommy Tuberville. According to CNN, Trump and Tuberville spoke for less than 10 minutes.
