The Wrexham story would not have become this good if it weren't for Netflix.

The National League club has had documentary cameras for an access-all-areas insight since Hollywood stars Rob and Ryan Reynolds took over in February of last year.

The pair have invested heavily on and off the pitch in a bid to win promotion to the Football League with several high-profile signings and the appointment of Phil Parkinson.

Wrexham co-chairmen Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds during their first UK media appearance at the Racecourse ground.
Ryan Reynolds and his Wrexham co-owner Rob McElhenney are dreaming of taking the fifth-tier Welsh club into the Premier League.

After a slow start to the season, Wrexham have established themselves firmly in the promotion race and their title hopes were all but over when they went down to already-relegated Dover Athletic on Saturday. At least one player still believed.

When the fifth goal went in, I stood in the centre circle shouting at Paul Mullin and Jordan Davies, "I promise you we're going to win this game." It has to be one of the craziest games in Conference history.

How Wrexham achieved the unthinkable

Paul Mullin and James Jones scored in the first 20 minutes to give Wrexham a 2-0 lead and 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780

The hosts were stunned by a thunderbolt from 17-year-old George Wilkinson. The visitors, who have only won once all season, were sent into a state of delirium when Michael Gyasi scored a hat-trick in the second half.

Wrexham match facts

Wrexham have never won a game 6-5 before. Last time there were 11 goals in a Wrexham match: 3/3/1962 Hartlepools United (h) 10-1

13/1/15 was the last time Wrexham scored 6 goals.

The last time a team scored 5 goals at The Racecourse and lost was in 1925.

The last time Wrexham came back to win, it was from 3 goals down.

Our longest winning streak since November was 10 games by Wrexham.

The fee that Wrexham paid to get Palmer from Wimbledon was 888-282-0465 888-282-0465, making it 888-282-0465 888-282-0465 888-282-0465 888-282-0465 in non-League. The 30-year-old scored twice in four minutes to pull the score back to five and then added another nine minutes later.

Jordan Davies, a local talent, scored twice in injury time, the winner coming in the 97th minute to keep their automatic promotion hopes alive. I apologize to my family. I want to be buried in Wales.

McElhenney was also shocked. I love this game. I don't like this game. I like this game. Up the town.

The group of people we have is so much more than one person. We got the ball, put it in the centre spot, and got a sixth. We got ourselves out of that position, even though we should never have been there.

Sometimes you crash when you press the cruise control button. It is a lesson but we have not been punished for it. We still have to take some key learning points out of it and put it in the mix for the rest of the games.

Only the National League champion is promoted into League Two with the teams from second to seventh entering the play-offs in a bid to reach the Football League.

With a game in hand, Palmer believes the title race is not over yet.

We have to play them at home and have a game in hand.

If they win the league and win every game between no and the end of the season, I will be the first one to applaud them. We will give everything we have in the play-offs.

Parkinson: The players showed character

Parkinson admitted he thought his team selection was wrong.

I should have changed some players at the start of the game because we were off the pace, he said.

Dior and Liam came on in the last ten minutes to help.

Wayne Jones, landlord of the Turf pub, tells Sky Sports News how the Hollywood takeover has given his business a much-needed lifeline
Wayne Jones, landlord of the Turf pub, explains how the Hollywood takeover of Wrexham by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney has given the whole town a boost and also helped his business.

Parkinson said that they had enough attacking talent to break them down.

The basics of defending, doing the right things in all areas of the pitch were not in place.

It doesn't matter who it is against, the character to come back and win the game 5-5 is not easy. You have to give the guys a lot of credit for the way they responded.

The group has a strong mentality and is playing under a bit of pressure. When you are getting beaten at home or at Wealdstone, the mentality is to keep showing for the ball and try to do the right things.

Hessenthaler: We ran out of legs but I'm proud

After being punished by the National League for refusing to play matches last season, the rest of the division carried on when fans were unable to attend games due to the swine flu.

The Whites were able to cut costs by reverting to a part-time model, but they were not able to bridge the gap in a full-time division. After their 27th defeat of the season, they were demoted to the second tier but manager Andy Hessenthaler wants his team to keep giving their all.

He told the website that the players were exceptional, even though they lost the game.

It was a phenomenal effort from everyone, it was sad that we were on the end of a loss. To score five goals in front of 8,500 people and not get anything out of it is a travesty.

Because we have gone down, we are more looking at performances than results. We have to respect this league until the end of the season and I think we showed that on Saturday.

Four players in the squad were not paid because they were still in school. The goal young Geotge would have scored. Michael was on the losing team and he scored a hat-trick. They gave everything for the shirt, I can't praise them enough.
