There is a citation to a song by rapper Emmitt in the latest court filing in the battle to wrest back control of Musk's account from the SEC. Yes, really, see the filing embedded below.

In the song, the rapper complains that the FCC wouldn't let him be or let him be him so they tried to shut him down.

The First Amendment requires that agencies be compared, so Musk's lawyers just substituted SEC for FCC.

The SEC is trying to chill the CEO's free speech by requiring him to have an attorney review his tweets before they are posted to social media, according to the CEO. The SEC fined Musk andTesla $20 million each, but Musk argued that the agency jeopardized the company's financing.

The plan to distribute the funds was expected to get court approval by the end of March, according to the SEC.

Musk said in August that he had funding to take the company private at $420 per share. Musk is trying to quash a subpoena from the SEC about whether or not he and his company are in compliance with the decree. The agency is looking into a November 21, 2021, Musk message where he asked his followers if he should sell 10 percent of his stake in the company.

The SEC didn't reply to the request for comment.
