Otter.ai rolls out a new AI-generated meeting summary feature and more collaboration tools

The company announced on Tuesday that it is releasing a set of new features to boost collaboration. The company is adding a new feature that uses a proprietary artificial intelligence to create a meeting summary. The new feature will give you an idea of what your colleagues said in a meeting without having to listen to a recording or read a transcript. The new summaries will be displayed on the platform.

A new panel is being introduced to capture action items, decisions and key moments from meetings. The panel can be used to assign items, add comments or ask questions. Users can generate a Meeting Gem by highlighting snippets within their notes.

Adding a meeting slide or any other image presented during a virtual meeting can now be done with the help of the Otter Assistant. The home feed of the platform now shows meetings and post-meeting actions.
