You will not forget the nameJackie Weaver in a hurry.
A video of a chaotic Zoom parish council meeting went viral in February of 2021.
If you missed the meeting, you can recap it at your leisure.
A video of the video meeting between Handforth Parish Council's Planning and Environment Committee in Wilmslow, Cheshire, went up 5.8 million views and was basically an edge-of-your-seat drama-fest from start to finish. Weaver tried to deal with disruptive parish councillors by muting them and throwing them out of the meeting.

One of the lines that proved particularly popular from the video was "You have no authority here." According to a report, Weaver didn't actually have the authority.
Six reports were published by the council on the conduct of the councillors in the Zoom call.
Weaver was not acting in an official capacity at these meetings, but she felt her actions were necessary given the behavior being displayed by a number of councillors, according to a 145-page report. The reports noted that Weaver acted as she did.
Weaver said she was sad that it took so long and cost so much to get there, but she welcomed the findings of the report.
Weaver said that he moved the virtual council meetings to the waiting room because he was not sure how the meetings worked.
The rest of the council voted to remove them a little later in the meeting.
There have been no formal findings made against any individual despite the reports stating that several current and former councillors were in violation of the council's code of conduct.
Some former council members do not accept the findings of the report and view them as fiction. They said that the investigations were conducted with more than an air of mendacity.
It was unsurprising given what we saw in the video.
Read the standing orders. Read them and understand them.
