The sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has been delayed to spring of 2023, according to a video update by producer Eiji Aonuma. The game was supposed to be out in 2022.
Aonuma said that the development team decided to extend their work and change the release date to Spring 2023.
Nintendo first revealed that it was working on a sequel to Breath of the Wild in 2019. According to Aonuma, there will be new elements and encounters in the skies of the vast, open-world iteration of Hyrule.
Nintendo still refers to the game as The Sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, even though much of the information about it is still being kept secret.
